Yoga Conferences Go Virtual
The desire to deepen our understanding and knowledge is a vein that runs deep in the tradition of yoga. Students seek teachers, texts and communities that support the growing aspiration of gaining more wisdom through experience and exposure to those who have it. Students often gain this experience of study through retreats and trainings that can sometimes be timely and costly, though always well worth the time and money, but now there are opportunities to study with experienced, knowledgeable teachers without ever leaving the comfort of your own home as virtual trainings and conferences become more popular.
Yogahub.com is offering a unique virtual conference experience on February 19th through February 21st. During this time, Yogahub.com will provide workshops, lectures, classes and meditations all via the Internet that can be accessed from home or your local yoga studio, anywhere you have access to a computer and an Internet connection. The weekend will consist of approximately 10 one-hour sessions each day, and will be open to anyone that is interested in yoga and wellness. At present, Yogahub.com has compiled an impressive list of 28 speakers from a variety of traditions and modalities with more being added often. The cost for the three day virtual conference is $197. You can register at the Yogahub.com website and if you use coupon code YBSC219 you will receive a $100 discount.
In conjunction with 17 city international tour, Padit Rajmani Tugunait, the spiritual head of the Himalayan Institute is also offering the unique virtual study opportunity. Through a six part series spanning the course of one year known as Living Tantra, this master Tantra teacher will be presenting an in-depth study of the science and practice of Tantra. The program and supplemental study material is designed to “ensure that distance does not come between the student and the teacher.”
The course includes 66 hours of teachings and supportive material, and will be presented online via streaming video. The first part of the series will be presented live as well as through video in 17 cities across the world. Parts two through five will be presented only through the Internet and part 6 will also be presented live in conjunction with the webcasts in a multi-city tour. The Living Tantra program encompasses a comprehensive tantric study program which will utilize a balance of intellectual and experiential learning.
