 Ecstatic Indian vocals, groovy tabla beats, thumping bass and swirling electronica elements merge together in the fourth volume of the Asana series from Meta Records. This time, legendary bassist and producer Bill Laswell is featured on all nine tracks, utilizing his mastery of bringing musicians together from separate cultures and traditions to create inventive and spicy compositions. With most of these tracks having an upbeat tabla or electronica rhythm, OHM Shanti is best used as a motivation to move, flow and reverberate through a dynamic series of asanas.
