I am interested in starting yoga. I was observing a small yoga class, attended by 4 people. At the end of the class, while everyone was cooling down, the instructor began rubbing everyones shoulders, feet and hands. Is this unusual?

Yes, that is unusual but not totally uncommon. It can definitely be a boundary issue (even being touched or assisted at all in a yoga class can be uncomfortable to some). If you are not comfortable with a teacher touching or physically assisting you just let them know before the yoga class.

Yogic Wisdom |
