Our favorite yogi hip-hopper is back with an awesome sophomore release brimming with devotion and joy. MC Yogi traveled the world to work with master musicians, and he composed these delightful songs while on a spiritual pilgrimage to India. Compared to Elephant Power, this recording features fewer big name chanters (Krishna Das and Bhagavan Das are each featured on a track), has more traditional Indian vocals and instrumentation, and most tracks have a rocking and soulful horn section.
There are several short field recordings mixed with traditional Indian chanting sprinkled throughout the CD which add a bit of ambiance to an already brimming amount of sonic textures and funky beats. The whole CD is excellent and these perfectly produced tracks will make you smile, dance, and rock your asana off.
