I saw that using a class theme or concept for a yoga class can be a useful tool when teaching a mixed level class. I am wondering if you could share some examples of some themes and how you present them to your students. Thank you so much!

Hi prairy, Here is a good list of themes composed by a friend of mine: http://teachingyoga.net/100-yoga-class-themes/Some teachers start by talking 3-5 mins about the theme and then weave it into the class. I tend to let themes spontaneously arise based on what is happening in the class. I've seen themes presented from a very personal point of view or from a more instructive / lecture point of view. I think both are fine and just depends on what your relationship is with your students.
