Hello All! :)
Hi Everyone!

I just relized that I hadn't logged into my yoga basics account in a very long time!! I wanted to swing back in and say hello to everyone (again).

My name is Terra, I live in Red Bank, NJ. In the corporate world I am an attorney with a background in Environmental Health. In the non-corporate world I am a 200hr RYT in traditional Hatha, certified in pre-natal yoga, a certifed Body Hoops Dance Fusion instructor and Reiki Master.

I am currently enrolled in the professional training program at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to become a holistic health counselor. My goal is to break free from my corporate identity and fully embrace my non-corporate world by the end of the Summer 2009!

So hello everyone! It's good to be back :)

Yogic Wisdom
These days, my practice is teaching me to embrace imperfection: to have compassion for all the ways things haven’t turned out as I planned, in my body and in my life – for the ways things keep falling apart, and failing, and breaking down. It’s less about fixing things, and more about learning to be present for exactly what is.
Anne Cushman

Ahimsa, the yogic practice of non violence must be adhered to when engaging in the practice of hatha yoga. Respect your body's limitations and inner wisdom, if something feels wrong or dangerous, please do not do it.
Please consult your health care practitioner before starting a yoga, pranayama or other exercise program.
