Re:alignment of feet in 5 pointed star
In 5 Pointed Star the feet should be facing forward and parallel to each other. When moving into Warrior / Triangle poses, the front foot will turn 90 degrees and the back foot turns about 45 degrees towards the front foot. It can feel a bit awkward when you are still in 5 pointed star and then turn the feet this way, but once you move into the Warrior / Triangle poses this awkwardness should pass.
Namaste,
Timothy

Re:alignment of feet in 5 pointed star
Thanks for that. Just to clarify further. When moving into triangle/warrior, should the instep or arch of the back foot be in line with the heel of the front foot?

Yes, ideally that is the alignment: heel to arch.

Yogic Wisdom
I have found that the greatest degree of inner tranquility comes from the development of love and compassion.  The more we care for the happiness of others, the greater is our own sense of well being. Cultivating a close warm hearted feeling for others automatically puts the mind at ease. It is the ultimate source of success in life.
