rules for sequences
What rules should I follow if I want to make my own pose sequences? May I just take my favourite postures and make a sequence of my own?

Re:rules for sequences
Yes, you can absolutely make a sequence of your favorite poses! There are not any real rules, but you might want to consider creating a sequence with one or more of the following as a guide or focus:

Intention
Level of ability
Goals
Specific area of body (i.e. hips)
Season
Time available
Environment
Namaste,
Timothy

Yogic Wisdom
In truth, it matters les what we do in practice than how we do it and why we do it. The same posture, the same sequence, the same meditation with a different intention takes on an entirely new meaning and will have entirely different outcomes.
Donna Farhi

Ahimsa, the yogic practice of non violence must be adhered to when engaging in the practice of hatha yoga. Respect your body's limitations and inner wisdom, if something feels wrong or dangerous, please do not do it.
Please consult your health care practitioner before starting a yoga, pranayama or other exercise program.
