Is power yoga suitable for beginners?

The problem with power yoga and beginning yoga students is the lack of instruction on the alignment of the postures. I would highly recommend practicing power yoga with other styles that focus on alignment (Iyengar, Kripalu) or using the asana section at yogabasics.com or a yoga book to study the individual postures in detail.
