We have published over 120 yoga articles this year! Out of all of these stories, a few stand out in their popularity and in their importance to the practice and evolution of yoga. Our top posts this year have covered a wide range of topics but have mostly converged around five main themes: yoga for non-traditional populations, monthly and seasonal yoga post series, yoga philosophy, therapeutic applications of yoga, and expert advice on the practice of yoga.
We have recently seen a big push to bring yoga into non-traditional locations and for yoga to be taught to more diverse populations. Much of this work has been done through karma yoga—selfless giving—which warms our heart even more.
Monthly and seasonal series
This year we started several reoccurring articles to bring more consistency to our publishing cycle as well as to highlight items that would normally have fallen through the cracks. We are happy to report that many of these monthly and seasonal posts have been a big hit with our readers!
The philosophical underpinnings of yoga continue to be a big interest for our readers. We have published several articles that explore the nuances of yogic philosophy and most importantly, how to apply and incorporate these theoretical concepts to your day-to-day practice.
Yoga as therapy
This year we have published numerous articles about specific medical studies as well as general therapeutic tips on yoga. Check out our most popular yoga therapy posts for 2016 below.
We love sharing our knowledge and experience of yoga with you, and we love creating interesting ways to apply yogic teachings to the world around us. Below are our most popular advice posts for this year to help motivate and support your yoga practice.
