Slow Meadow’s debut CD is a wonderfully crafted 62 minute ambient soundscape. Gentle piano, cello and violin melodies drift above expansive electric guitar washes and soothing synthesizer drones. These nine tracks—while unique, distinct and able to stand on their own—flow effortlessly together to create a unified soundtrack experience of wonder and awe. Most of these compositions invoke an all-embracing and tranquil state, which would work well for meditation, relaxation or to use as peaceful background music. Several tracks have a lullaby feel, which would work great for Shavasana or yoga nidra. The entire CD would be excellent to play for a gentle or restorative yoga practice.
