Yoga Poses for Constipation

Published on January 18, 2009

Infrequent or difficult bowel movements can have many causes. Abdominal massaging postures strengthen and regulate energy in the abdomen, stimulate peristalsis and tone and massage the internal organs. Side bending poses will activate the Liver, Gall Bladder and Stomach energy channels to move any stuck energy in the abdomen. If this is a more chronic / persistent condition regular use of the abdominal opening poses and the Hip Opening Poses will be beneficial.
