Yoga Poses for Stomachache and Indigestion Print E-mail
Stomachaches and Indigestion usually occurs when we eat too much or eat the wrong foods. Abdominal massaging postures strengthen and regulate energy in the abdomen, stimulate peristalsis and tone and massage the internal organs. Hip opening poses will activate and strengthen the digestive system. Side bending poses will activate the Liver, Gall Bladder and Stomach energy channels to move any stuck energy in the abdomen.

Yogic Wisdom
You cannot understand life and its mysteries as long as you try to grasp it. Indeed, you cannot grasp it, just as you cannot walk off with a river in a bucket. If you try to capture running water in a bucket, it is clear that you do not understand it and that you will always be disappointed, for in the bucket the water does not run. To "have" running water you must let go of it and let it run.

Ahimsa, the yogic practice of non violence must be adhered to when engaging in the practice of hatha yoga. Respect your body's limitations and inner wisdom, if something feels wrong or dangerous, please do not do it.
Please consult your health care practitioner before starting a yoga, pranayama or other exercise program.
